Mrs. Edna Lucille Ledford, age 82, of Riverhill Rd. Murphy, NC passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday August 1, 2009. Born in Cherokee County, NC she was the daughter of the late Willie and Bellbia Jones Baker. She was the loving wife of the late Lewis Ledford for sixty years. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Baker. Mrs. Ledford was a member of the World Wide Church of God, loved quilting and gardening her vegetables and flowers. She will also be missed by her feline pets. Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-laws, Steve and Linda Ledford of Turtletown, TN and Darrell and Kaye Ledford of Murphy, NC; brothers, Charles, Vincent, Harold Baker all of Turtletown, TN, and Blakely Baker of Gastonia, NC; aunt, Lissy Walker of Turtletown, TN and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive. Graveside Services were conducted Monday August 3, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. from the Zion Hill Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Trentham officiating. Nephews served as pallbearers.
