The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Mrs. Edna Payne Deal, age 87, of Morrow, GA, formerly of Mt. View Road, McCaysville, GA who passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 in the Golden Crest Assisted Living in Morrow, GA. She was a member of Mt. Liberty Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burlin C. Deal; brothers, Otis Payne, Gordon Payne, and Morris Payne; sisters, Lola Gauling, Clearcie Deal, and Ethie Hall. She is survived by three children, Jackie Gene Deal and his wife Penny of Griffin, GA; Charlotte Carol Price of Canton, GA and Barbara Sue Mehall of Beverly Hill, FL; five grandchildren, Sean Deal, Bruce Reaves, Preston Price, Austin Mehall, and Drew Mehall; and two great grandchildren, Abbey Deal and Lauren Price. Funeral services will be conducted Wedneaday, August 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Deal officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sean Deal, Preston Price, Bruce Reaves, Steve O'Neal, Fred Hall, and Larry Payne. Donations in memory of Mrs. Deal may be made to Susan G.
