Edgar Vernon Johnson, age 83, of Copperhill, TN passed away Wednesday, June17, 2015. Mr. Johnson was born in Ducktown, TN to the late John and Ella Coleman Johnson. He had worked for the U.S.Postal Service for twenty years and was of the Christian Faith. He was retired from the U.S.Air Force after serving twenty three years. He was a member of the VFW in Lansdale, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Kidd Johnson, daughter, Cheryl Johnson, granddaughter, Jessica and siblings, Bill, Cotton, Bingy, R.K., Roy, Buck and Ruth. He is survived by daughters, Sandra (Stanley) Levinsky of Hatfield, PA, Michelle (Jeffrey) Hemmerle of Lansdale, PA; seven grandchildren, Shana, Jennifer, Jaimee, Amanda, Amber, Bryan and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Willie, Jesse, Caleb, Melia, Maggie, Delilah, Andrew, Eli and Aaron. Many other relatives and friends.A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, June 20th at 11:00 a.m. from the Freedom Baptist Church with Rev. Glen Stiles officiating. Music will be by Drew Payne, Amanda Johnson and the Freedom Baptist Church Choir.Military honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard . There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
