Eddie Lee Farmer, age 67, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Blue Ridge, GA. Born on October 25, 1949 in Murphy, NC, he was the son of the late Clyde Farmer and Thelma Ballew Farmer. Mr. Farmer served in the United States Army. He was an electrical Technician working for Tom's Amusement Company. He is survived by son, Greg Farmer; two daughters, Angela Farmer and Regina Farmer; one brother, Chuck Farmer; grandchildren, Kristan Irons, Lindsay Irons, Adam Farmer, Matthew Farmer, Kurt Spradlin, Madison Fair, and Nathaniel Fair. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of theAkins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge with Rev. Eric Kincaid officiating. Interment will follow in the Temple Baptist Church Cemetery in Murphy, NC with full military honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Rodney Wimpey, Danny O'Neal, John Turner, Chris Ross, Kurt Spradin, Adam Farmer have been selected to serve as pallbearers. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
