Mr. Eddie Dobbs, age 70, of Copperhill, TN, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Mr. Dobbs was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Alex John and Madrie Marie Phillips Dobbs. He was a former employee of the Ford Motor Company in Hapeville, GA working in the Paint Department for 31 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of McCaysville. Mr. Dobbs enjoyed helping people in need.He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sheryl Halcome Dobbs of the home. a son, Scott Dobbs of Griffin, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Patsy Dobbs of Norcross, GA; two grandchildren, Anna Dobbs and Taylor Dobbs, both of Griffin, GAA memorial service will be conducted Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the McCaysville First Baptist. Church with Rev. Matthew McDaniel and Rev. Harry Gilbert officiating. Music will be by Ed Vest and Rev. Harry Gilbert & Katie Gilbert. In Lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Dobbs to the McCaysville First Baptist Church or to a charity of choice.
