Ed Cornett, age 89 of Blue Ridge GA passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Erlanger Medical Center. Mr. Cornett was born on October 7, 1926 in Fannin County, GA to the late Garner Cornett and Eula Mae Pless Cornett. He was as a carpenter. Mr. Cornett was a member of O'Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hyatt Cornett.Survivors are his daughter, Judy Cornett Britton (James) of Cleveland, TN; grandson, Matt Britton (Brittany) their children, Ashlan, Kyler and Jagger Britton; granddaughter, Michelle Britton; brother, Fred "Tip" Cornett of Blue Ridge, GA.Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the O'Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
