Mr. Earnest Granville Wilson, age 74, of Chatsworth, GA passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Mr. Wilson was born on September 30, 1941 in Copperhill, TN to the late Roy James Wilson and Florence Evelyn Dockery Wilson. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Wilson. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Hazel Wilson of the home; sons, Calvin (Judy) Wilson of Ellijay, GA and Scott Wilson of Trion, GA; grandchildren, Christy (Chris) Moore of Eddyville, KY and William Davis of Cleveland, TN; great grandchildren, Breana and Bristol Moore of Eddyville, KY; and sister, Elizabeth (Archie) Bice of Mineral Bluff, GA.Funeral Services were held Friday, October 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Hyatt officiating. Music was by the A.C. Caylor Family. Interment followed in Union Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: James Wilson, Chris Moore, David Bice, Glen Bailey, Joey Huey, and William Davis.
