Earlin "Tom" Robert Rinehart, Jr., age 83, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Pruitt Health Care in Blue Ridge, GA. He was born in York, PA, on May 20, 1937, to Earlin Robert Rinehart, Sr. and Hazel Duke. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Rinehart. He was a decorated soldier, proudly serving his country in both the United States Marine Corps as well as the United States Army. His service included two combat tours in Vietnam, and he was a survivor of the battle at Khe Sanh. He was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service in a combat zone as well as the Purple Heart for wounds sustained in combat. Tom is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Tim Stein of Mineral Bluff, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Sara Rinehart of Pembroke Pines, FL; siblings, Lynda Klinedinst of York, PA, Jack Rinehart of York, PA, and Judy and Micheal Mann of Cape May Courthouse, NJ; granddaughters and their spouses, Kahla and Tom Ableman of Mineral Bluff, GA and SrA Laurel and Kimberly Stein of Glen Burnie, MD; great-grandchildren, Emily Ableman and Aubrey Ableman; his faithful dog, Rocky; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
