Earl Lucas Swanson, age 71, of Turtletown, TN, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Earl was a native of the Copper Basin area and was retired as a miner and shop maintenance worker with the Tennessee Copper Company. He was of Baptist faith.He is survived by his wife, Louise Payne Swanson of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna (Gary) Walters of Ellijay, GA, Kelly (Ronald) Rhodes of Blue Ridge, GA, Becky Smith of Morganton, GA, Kim (John) Lay of McCaysville, GA and Sharon (Greg) Cagle of Cisco, GA; siblings, Juanita (Wade) Adams of Turtletown, TN, Jerry (Anita) Stillwell, Jeanette Elrod, Paul (Nina) Stillwell, James (Joy) Stillwell, David (Laura Sue) Stillwell, all of Isabella, TN, Junior (Terri) Stillwell, Don (Karen) Stillwell, both of Mineral Bluff, GA; twenty one grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren.A graveside memorial service will be conducted Saturday, August 25th at 4:00 p.m. from the Zion Hill cemetery.
