Dwight David Dean, age 55, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at his home. He was born on April 3, 1969 to Herman Charles Dean, Sr. and Mildred Christine Nails Dean.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Charles Dean, Sr. and Mildred Christine Nails Dean; and sister, Loisann Johnson.

Mr. Dean is survived by his brother, H. Charles Dean (Diana) of Gainesville, GA; brother-in-law, Russell Johnson; nieces and nephews, Jessica Dean, Jason Dean, Joshua Dean (Amber), and Kelly Johnson; great nieces and nephews, Raygan Corn, Lillie Dean, Addie Dean, Mia Dean, Ansley Dean, and Camden Dean; many other dear cousins, relatives, and friends.

A memorial service to honor the life of Mr. Dean was held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jerry Rice officiating. Interment followed in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Murphy, NC. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Saturday, prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The family requests that memorial contributions in honor of Mr. Dean be made to the Mineral Springs Center in Blue Ridge, Georgia at P.O.
