Mr. Douglas Steven Sutton, age 68, of Mineral Bluff, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2020 at his residence. Born in Denver, Colorado, he was the son of the late Glenn Alvin Sutton of Madison, MS. and Diane Marilyn Wicoff of Colorado Springs, Co.Doug married his best friend, and the love of his life, Lisa Ogden on October 16, 1979. Mr. & Mrs. Sutton relocated their family to Fannin County from Colorado in 1998. He worked as a general contractor for several years before retiring to do what he loved most; spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He loved working in his yard, caring for his animals, going fishing and just hanging out with family. He was a wonderful loving father who was always there for all of his children and his love and advice will be deeply missed!Also preceding him in death is his brother James Sutton and grandson Kristopher Gillis. Survivors include his wife of more than 40 years, Lisa Sutton of the home; his brother, Michael Sutton of Florence, MS; his daughter, Crystal Gillis, of Blue Ridge GA; his sons, Shawn Sutton of Blue Ridge, GA. and Benjamin Sutton of Mineral Bluff, GA.Mr. Sutton is also survived by his ten beautiful grandchildren; 5 grandsons, and 5 granddaughters.
