Douglas "Doug" Aaron Harper Jr., age 41, of McCaysville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025.

Born on December 14, 1983, in Copperhill, Tennessee, Doug was the son of Douglas Aaron Harper Sr. and Loretta Lynn Lewis Harper.

Doug was a self-employed arborist, widely respected for his skill and dedication to his craft. Known as a master of tree cutting, he also had a passion for working on small engines. Doug was deeply loved by his family and shared that same love freely with others, always offering kindness and a generous heart.

Doug is preceded in death by his father, Douglas Aaron Harper Sr.; and mamaw and papaw, Mary Lou and Charles Harper.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Harper; mother, Lynn Harper; step-children, Jay Masters, Justin Ingram, and Franklin Burk Jr.; brothers, Joey Harper and Justin Harper; and many other extended family members and dear friends.

A celebration of life service will be held by the family at a later date.
