Dorothy Mae Taylor, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at her home in Turtletown. Born on June 26, 1934 in Clermont, FL, she was the daughter of the late Lee Allen Halford, Sr. and Lillie Mae Youmans Halford. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and was active in WMU. She was a homemaker and enjoyed indian relics. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Audrey Day Taylor. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jane Taylor of Turtletown; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Dewey Lunsford of Ocoee; grandchildren, Amber Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Leia Bagley, and Kristin Long; great-grandchildren, Emily Quinn, Lexy Long, Olivia Dockery, and Morgan Bagley; sisters, Faye Albritton of Mulberry, FL and Becky Holton of Winter Garden, FL; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to special caregivers, Amanda Johnson, June Cheatham, Jeannette Jordan, and to Home Health Care of East Tennessee, Inc and Hospice. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, February 19, 2017, at 2:00 pm from Zion Hill Baptist Church. Pastor Kenny Housley officiated. Music was provided by Janice Reid and Ed Vest. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Jacob Taylor, Wayne Albritton, Jay Carter, Allen Halford, Benny Long, and Adam Bagley served as pallbearers.
