Dorothy "Dot" Helen Spencer, age 90, of Mineral Bluff, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at her home. She was born on September 10, 1933, in Cleveland, GA to the late John Posey Smith and Lola Cagle Smith. Dot was a member of First Baptist of Blue Ridge. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Harry Wilford Spencer, Sr., and nine siblings.

Dot is survived by her three children, Patricia Ann Bordeaux, Harry Wilford Spencer, Jr. (Susan), and Steve Russell Spencer (Suzanne); sister, Ellen Duncan; eight grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Rusty Thomas officiating. Interment followed in the O'Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.akinscobb.com.
