Mrs. Dorothy May Ray, age 90, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Ray was born on January 22, 1923 in Fannin County, GA to the late Hayden Stepp and Gertrude Higdon Stepp. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray. She is survived by a son, Clifford Montgomery of Blue Ridge; brothers, Ernest Stepp and Robert Stepp, both of Blue Ridge, and Johnny Stepp of Rocky Face, GA; sisters, Jane Miller of Blue Ridge, and Louise Owen of Juliette, IL; grandchildren, Michelle Loftis, Melissa Montgomery, and Jamie Montgomery. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Johnny Rhodes officiating. Music will be by The Robert Stepp Family. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
