The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces the death of Mrs. Dorothy Jean Patterson, age 73, of Pataskala, Ohio who died Thursday, October 1, 2009. Mrs. Patterson was born in Epworth, GA on April 20, 1936. She is preceded in death by one daughter Sonya Faye Maples; mother and father Garfield and Alice Davenport; and three brothers, Charles, James and C.L. Davenport. She is survived by three children, Sherry Patterson of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Raymond Calvin Bearden of Cleveland, Ohio, and Lorna Reddy of Pataskala, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Hipps Chapel Church on Highway #2 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating.
