Dorothy Ann Nerthling, age 84, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at her home. She was born in Ellijay, GA, on January 29, 1938, to the late Jim Barclay and Willa Mae Dockery Barclay. Dorothy attended World Harvest Church. She loved Jesus and was always telling others about Him. She had strong love for all animals. She is preceded in death by her parents; children, Joseph King and Glenda King Harper; and brother, Jimmy Barclay. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Bob Nerthling; children, Sheila King (Randy) Carver, Brenda King Harper, Suzanne King, James (Linda) King, and David (Sandra) King; sister, Martha Voiter; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 2:00 pm from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers are Richard Merrell, Paul Waldroup, Matthew King, Tommy Woody, and Dennis Gorges.
