Dorothy Mae Morgan, age 88, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 in Blue Ridge, GA. She was born on April 8, 1933 in Blue Ridge, GA. She was a member of Young's Chapel Baptist Church. Ms. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Parr and Della Curtis Parr; two brothers, one sister; son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Dawn Morgan, and a son-in-law, Mike Carpenter. Ms. Morgan is survived by her children and spouses, Betty and David Stanley of Ellijay, GA, Janet Carpenter of Andrews, NC, Barbara and Jackie Rhodes of McCaysville, GA, and Ricky and Diane Morgan of Blue Ridge, GA; a sister, Susie Henry of Blue Ridge; 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Larry Stover officiating. Music will be by Linda and Ronald Hyde and Raven Welch Harris. Pallbearers will be Jody Cantrell, Chandler Cantrell, Blaine Hooper, David Morgan, Steven Wilkins, and Ronald Wilkins. Interment will follow in Barnes Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Darvin Couch officiating.
