Dorothy C. "Dottie" Lollar, formerly of Ft. Myers, FL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Blue Ridge Assisted Living Home. She was 87 years old. Born in Cleveland, OH, Dottie grew up in Nitro, WV, graduating from Nitro High School. She was employed for 15 years at the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company. In 1967, Mrs. Lollar moved to Ft. Myers, FL and was employed by Sprint United Telephone Company until her retirement. Dottie is survived by her son, Colonel Michael E. Nunnally, USMC (Ret) and daughter-in-law, Becky of Blue Ridge, GA; grandson, Trevor of Marietta, GA and granddaughter, Elizabeth of Savannah, GA. Memorial services will be conducted on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the memorial service of 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Lollar to the Snack in a Back Pack at P.O.
