Dorothy Allen Hedden, age 79, of Ducktown, TN passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012. Mrs. Hedden was a native of the Faniin County area and was a daughter of the late Rev. Aaron Ernie and Mary Dilbeck Allen. She was retired with Hardwick Clothes where she worked as a Sewing Machine Operator. She attended Mt. Liberty Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Joe Hedden; siblings, Harrison, Wade, Ed, Steve, Lake, Simon and Jerry Allen, Amie Dunn, Nola Payne, Leavy Cantrell and Elizabeth Henson.She is survived by daughter, Denise Dale of Chatsworth, GA; Grandchildren, Staci Dale of Atlanta, GA, Brittany (Steven) Hobbs of Acworth, GA; Great grandchild, Elin Hobbs, Acworth, GA; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 10th at 2:00 p.m. from the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. John Newton officiating. Music will be by the Mt. Liberty Church Choir and Kenny O'Neal. Pallbearers include Carl Allen, Ed Cantrell, Tommy Bailey, Zeke Henson, Jonathan Newton and Jerry Whitehead. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hedden will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
