Mrs. Dorothy Marie Beach Queen Carroll, age 93, of Blue Ridge, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy was born on December 8, 1931 in Armuchee, Georgia to the late George Washington Beach and Era Mae Panter Beach.

She was devoted in the Baptist Faith, and a long-time member of Damascus Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Those she taught often referred to her as "Mamaw Dot".

Dot worked for twenty six years at Van Ralt, and later for over twenty years at Fannin County High School in the cafeteria. She took great pride in taking care of her yard and loved quilting.

She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband of twenty nine years, Hubert Queen; second husband of four years, Reed Carroll; siblings, Junior Beach, James Beach, Martha Loving, and Rose Russell; and brother-in-law, J.E. Anderson.

Dot is survived by her beloved children, Brenda Nicholson (Travis), Rev. Billy Ray Queen (Faye), Bobby Lynn Queen (Helga), and Larry David Queen (Jackie); step-daughter, Loretta Underwood (Doug); eleven grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister, Lora Vee Anderson; sisters-in-law, Carol Beach and Betty Beach; many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral services were held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. David Mashburn officiating. Music was provided by Pat Mashburn. Interment followed in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Marc Nicholson, Derek Nicholson, Mitchell Queen, John Queen, Jordan Queen, and Kenny Anderson. Serving as an honorary pallbearer was David Queen. The family visited with friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The family left the funeral home in procession to the church at 1:30 p.m.
