Dorothy Mae Brendle Beavers, age 67, of Turtletown, TN, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Dorothy was born in Cherokee County, NC to the late Fred Pender and Mattie McDaniel Brendle and was a member of the Shoal Creek Baptist Church. She was a former School Bus Driver for the Cherokee County, NC School System, had worked as a Librarian and a Remedial Teacher. She was a person full of love and laughter who enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Casey Allen Rose. She is survived by her children, William (Billy) and wife, Pamela Rose of Postell, TN, Buffy Rose and husband, Eric Turner of Morganton, GA, Kaye and husband William Chastain of Turtletown, TN; brothers, Charles (Indian) Brendle of Farner, TN, Lynn (Red Bone) Brendle of Shoal Creek, NC, Lake Brendle of Violet, NC and Bill Brendle of Murphy, NC; sisters, Alma Thomas and Margaret Holst, both of Shoal Creek, NC; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 11th at 12:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jerry Beavers officiating. Music will be by Janice Reid. Pallbearers will be Charlie Wilson, Paul Dubois, Braylyn Queen, Eric Turner, William Chastain, Keaton Stites and Shaun Free. Interment will follow in the Shoal Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
