Mrs. Doris Jean Thrasher, age 74, of Morganton, GA, passed away March 7, 2011 at her home. Born in Fannin County, GA she was the daughter of the late Roy Clifton and Lucille Ammons Davis. She was a longtime member of the New Antioch Baptist Church. She and her husband owned and operated Thrasher Photographic Enterprises. Survivors include her husband, Bobby L. Thrasher of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Dale Blair of Morganton, GA; brothers and sister-in-laws, Billy and Linda Davis of Mineral Bluff, GA, Bobby and Janet Davis of Hiawassee, GA and Ricky and Kay Davis of Morganton, GA; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Geraldine Owenby of Marietta, GA, Betty Mathis of Morganton, GA and Cheryl and Fred Ballew of Morganton, GA; grandchildren, Cliff and wife Kim Blair of Dallas, GA and Courtney Blair of Rome, GA; special cousins, Rachel Campbell and Kathy Wehunt; special friends, Lois Mulkey and Laura Cronan. Funeral Services were conducted Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Condra and Rev. Terry Thrasher officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Tommy Young, Louise Seed and the New Antioch Baptist Church Choir. Interment followed in the Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Green officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Mathis, Chuck Owenby, Jim Bob Davis, William Davis, Heath Sage, and Devin Sage. Honorary pallbearers were Roger Thrasher, Donnie Stephens, Howard Stephens, William Earl Thrasher, Joe Dan Wilkins, Paul Wehunt, Kenneth McVey, Jimmy Davis, Tommy Hooper, Henry Hooper, Monroe Hooper Paul Millsaps, Herdis Mulkey and Bill Leverette.
