Doris Elizabeth Ralston Hayes, age 98, of Cumming, GA, passed away on August 27, 2019 in Cumming, GA. Mrs. Hayes was the daughter of John Lewis and Georgie Davenport Ralston. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. After marrying her husband, the late John Ransome Hayes, she traveled all over the United States with her family as her husbands military career prescribed. After retirement, they settled in Fayetteville, GA where they remained for a number of years. While in Fayetteville, she was an active member of the Middle Fayetteville Church of Christ. She also had volunteered for over 28 years for the Southern Regional Medical Center Auxillary. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Bill Akins, Jean Fitts, Richard Ralston, Max Ralston and Shirley Allen. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Carole and Steve Kepley of Cumming, GA and Randy and Anne Hayes of Fayetteville, GA; grandsons, Rusty Kepley, Kevin Kepley, John Hayes, Preston Hayes; great grandchildren, Nicole Kepley, Austin Kepley, Rance Kepley, Ryder Kepley, Peyton Hayes, Bruin Hayes, Brenleigh Hayes and Ryann Hayes; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Ralston of Blue Ridge, GA and Melvina Hayes of MI; and many other cousins and friends also survive. Graveside services were conducted on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. from the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery with Steve Kepley and Preston Hayes officiating.
