Donald Lee "Don" Roberts, age 71, of Morganton, GA passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton, GA. Don was born on March 24, 1950 in Atlanta, GA to the late Emmett Lee Roberts and Anna Leon Cox Roberts. Don was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. He also served as a firefighter and paramedic with the Clayton County Fire Department for 34 years. Along with his parents, he was recently preceded in death by his wife, Carol Elaine Mann Roberts; and one granddaughter, Emily Nix. He is survived by two sons, Billy Lee (Tanya) Roberts of Locust Grove, GA and Brian Lee (Angie) Roberts of McDonough, GA.; a stepson, Paul Queen of Ellijay, GA.; one stepdaughter Stacey (Benjie) Ensley of Blue Ridge, GA.; one sister Gail Turner of Morrow, GA; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Grady Ray officiating. Interment followed in the Young's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentleman serving as pallbearers; Devin Lee Roberts, Kenneth Lee Roberts, Robert Barnett, Braylon Nix, Anthony Sandelier, and Steve Gray.
