Donald Ray "Don" Roberts Sr., age 84, of Mineral Bluff passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Don was born on November 4, 1940 in Copperhill to the late Beulah Hunter. He served in the United States Navy for six years. Don was a member of Mineral Bluff Baptist Church, and most recently, attended Hot House Baptist Church. He worked as a miner for the Tennessee Copper Company for many years.

Don is preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Roberts; mother, Beulah Hunter; siblings, Bobby Blalock, Penny Waters, and Alonzo Roberts; daughter-in-law, Sarah Kathleen Roberts; and brother-in-law, Clyde Elrod.

He is survived by his sons, Don Roberts Jr, and Randy (Denise) Roberts; granddaughter, Danielle Roberts; great-granddaughter, Cason Roper; step grandchildren, Keshia (Kevin) Dover, Kayla (Andrew) Davenport, Jenny (Justin) Dover, Riley Davis (honorary), Bethany (Howard) Millsaps, and Adam (Amy) Banks; step great-grandchildren, Kylan Dover, Kyndall Dover, Gabriel Davenport, Pippa Davenport, Veronica Ramsey, Jon Dover, Garrett Dover, Chelsea, Hannah, Bailey and Gabe, Destiny, Harmony, Steven, Jordan, Maria, and Addison; numerous great-great-grandchildren, niece's and nephews; sisters, JoAnn (Randy) Maney, Sharon Elrod, and Linda (Ronnie) Hughes; and special cousins, Carolyn Stepp and Karen.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 3:00 PM from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Will Davis officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery on Airport Road in Copperhill. Pallbearers were Albert Green, Steve Sams, Kasch Brucker, John Davis, Daniel Morgan, and Henry Hall. Honorary pallbearers were Gene Henson, Mike Sams, Vence Elrod, and Justin Elrod. The family received friends at Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Copperhill on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
