Obituary

Mrs. Dollie Mae Lowery Stepp, age 78, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 30, 1931 in Fannin County to the late Clarence E. and Mae Stephens Lowery. Mrs. Stepp was a homemaker and of the nondenominational faith. She was preceded in death by first husband, Havern Cecil Patterson; son, Charles George Patterson and grand-daughter, Charlsie Patterson. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Ernest Stepp of the home; four sons, Jerry and wife Wanda Patterson of Blue Ridge, GA, Jimmy and wife Rosalie Patterson of Perry, GA, Kenneth Patterson of Blue Ridge, GA and Joel and wife Tammy Stepp of Blue Ridge, GA; five daughters, Shirley Radford of Denver, CO, Martha Patterson of Waleska, GA, Dorothy Mayfield of Morganton, GA, Beverly and husband Ron Shaub of Columbia, PA and Karen and husband Roy Blackston of Dallas, GA; two sisters, Mary Davenport of Chatsworth, GA and Edna Watkins of Blue Ridge, GA; twenty-one grandchildren; eight great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Grady Ray and Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Music was by the Early Family and Oak Grove Church Choir. Interment followed in the Jerusalem Cemetery. Pallbearers were Haven Mayfield, Heath Mayfield, Wesley Gazaway, Coby Dyer, Kevin Hawkins and Rusty Cox. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of the arrangements. .
