Mrs. Dollie Elizabeth Plemmons, age 96, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009 at her home. Born in Springfield, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Monroe Garrett and Augusta Quincifier Garrett. She worked in the Kitchen at Blue Ridge Health Care from many years. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, now known as Kingtown Church in McCaysville, GA. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Luther B. Patterson and Floyd Plemmons. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, L.D. and Wanda Patterson of Hiram, GA, and Sammy and Becky Patterson of Morganton, GA; daughters and a son-in-law, Helen P. and Walter Porter of Blue Ridge and Charlotte Carruth of Blue Ridge; stepchildren, Louise Puryear of Dallas, GA and Edith Russell of Smyrna, GA; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Roy Clore officiating. Music was by Patsy Beaver and Spirit Fed. Pallbearers were Brent Patterson, Kevin Carruth, Kelly Carruth, Michael Collis, Brandon Stepp, and Greg Stepp. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Porter and Danny Patterson. Interment followed in Chastain Memorial Park. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of arrangements.
