Mrs. Diane Patterson, age 62, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Patterson was born on December 1, 1949 to the late Hobert Queen and Willaree Pierce Queen. She retired after 34 years from Levi Strauss Company where she worked as a seamstress and machine operator; she was also a former employee of DayCorp. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Queen. Mrs. Patterson supported Relay for Life and was an avid Lady Rebels Fan. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Chub Patterson of the home; sons, Randall Patterson of Blue Ridge, Mike Bailey of Musukegan, MI, and Charles W. Patterson of Pickens, SC; brothers, Geary Queen of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Brenda Stanley of Blue Ridge; 15 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and special friends. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 23, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Terry Callihan officiating. An eulogy will be given by Johnny Farmer. Music will be by Raven Welch and One Goal. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews of Mrs. Patterson, All Fannin County Lady Rebels past and present, all Fannin County Rebels past and present, and Joey and Cindy Pierce. Interment will follow in Mt. Liberty Cemetery.
