Obituary

Mrs. Diane Sue Parker, age 71, of Blue Ridge, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at her home.

Born on February 21, 1954, in Clarksville, Kentucky, Diane was the daughter of the late Rev. Charlie James Jones and Madeline Davenport Jones. A devoted member of Bethel Church, she found great joy in fellowship.

Diane worked for many years as a manager at Brad Reagan Tire, but her greatest calling was caring for others- especially the many children she nurtured through Fannin Foster Care. Over the years, she opened her heart and home to hundreds of children in need.

Above all else, Diane loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Michelle Sowers; and sister, Janet Jacobs.

Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Derryl Parker; children, Jamie Campbell (Crystal), Creed Parker, and Brianna Brooks (Cooper); grandchildren, Tyler Robertson, Haley Falls (Cody), Zackery Campbell, Abby Campbell, and Kharcee Hughes; and great-grandchildren, Griffin Falls and Mia Robertson. She also leaves behind many extended relatives and dear friends.

A private graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. Parker was held from the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens in Blue Ridge, Georgia with Rev. Doug Payne officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Creed Parker, Zackery Campbell, Jamie Campbell, Tyler Robertson, Cody Falls, and Cooper Brooks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Diane's honor to the Jones Cemetery Fund- C/O Al Jones at 1550 Hwy 2, Blue Ridge, Georgia 30513.

Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinscobb.com
