Diane Eller Malley, age 65, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 in Murphy, NC. Born on July 6, 1952 in Cohutta, NC, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Leilia Hamby Eller. She was a loving and caring woman. Mrs. Malley was always smiling, happy, and always had a fun and upbeat personality. She was a caregiver for her brother Gary for many years. She loved her family and friends. She served her country proudly by retiring from the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sgt. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Rasem Malley; siblings, Glen Eller, Jr., Jimmy Eller, Claude Eller, Billy Eller, Buck Eller, Bobby Eller, Lillian Eller Bradford, and Helen Eller Rogers. She is survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Annette and Jerry Morrow and Kemeliagene Eller Brendle; one brother, Gary Eller; special nieces and nephew, Larissa Hughes, Tori Hughes and Logan Hughes. Memorial services were conducted on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge with Rev. Freddie Thomas officiating.
