Dennis Lee Setser, age 77 of Morganton, GA passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025. He was born on December 27, 1947 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Ivan Glen Setser and Grace Eliza Porter Setser. Dennis retired after serving his country for twenty-three years with honor in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Assembly of God in Brunswick, GA. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mike Setser.

Survivors are his wife of fifty-four years, Carolyn Setser of Morganton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Johnston and Rick of Fayetteville, NC; grandsons, Greg Caldwell of Fayetteville, NC and Alex Caldwell of Fayetteville, NC; sister, Judy Hughes of Morganton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Steve Setser and Kathy of Fayetteville, TN; many aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews also survived.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Darvin Couch officiating. Military honors were provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Pallbearers were Greg Caldwell, Alex Caldwell, Steve Setser, Eric Neunsinger, Charles Hughes, Butch Anderson and Chris Galloway. Interment followed in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery. The family visited with friends at the funeral on Tuesday evening, March 11, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
