Dennis Joseph Dills, age 39, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in Gainesville, GA. He was born in Blue Ridge, GA to Charles Jeffrey Dills and Angela Ponton Dills on August 10, 1983. Joseph was preceded in death by his grandparents; Edward "Tip" Dills, Reba Deal Simonds, and Angelo Ponton; and uncles, Eddie Dills, and Mike Dills. He enjoyed being in the outdoors coon hunting, especially with his dog "Luke", and loved being in nature. Joseph was always willing to extend a helping hand to those in need, and had a passion for woodworking.

Survivors include his two children, Colton Ford Dills and Emma Grace Dills; parents, Charles Jeffrey Dills and Angela Ponton Dills; sister, Jennifer Dills; grandmother, Anneliese Ponton; aunts and uncles, Susie Dills and Jerry Parris, Stanley Dills, Jeff and Charlene Allen, Marcus and Carolyn Ponton, Fulton and Monika Arrington, Bobby and Helga Queen, Scott and Michele Parish, and Randy Loudermilk; numerous cousins; extended family members and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, March 11,2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Chan Mitchell and Rev. David O'Neal officiating. Music was by The Farmer Family and Chris Messer. Honorary Pallbearers were Nathan Long, Daniel Loudermilk, Chris Messer, Patrick Welch, Greg Allen, and Jeremy Parish.
