Dennis James Allen, age 59 of McCaysville, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017. Born on July 8, 1957, he was the son of late James Benard Allen and Ruth Treadway Allen. He was a member of the Ducktown Lodge #241 F&AM.He is survived by his wife, Michelle Lea Allen of the home; sons, Chad Allen of Blue Ridge, Alex Allen of McCaysville, and Joseph Allen of Atlanta; daughters, Wynoka Allen of McCaysville, Alicia Coffey of McCaysville, Cassie Richards or McCaysville, Nashea Allen of Alabama, and Sidney Allen of McCaysville; step-daughters, Natasha Ward and Kristen Ward; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Benny Allen of LaGrange, Mary Noreen McQuage of North Carolina, and Duane Allen; half brother and sister, James and Janice. Memorial services were conducted on Saturday, June 17 at 4:00 pm from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Hyatt officiating. Masonic rites were provided by Ducktown Lodge #241 F&AM.
