Denise Irene Davenport, age 49, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. She was born in Hammond, Indiana on December 6, 1958. She worked as a school bus driver for the Fannin County Board of Education. Ms. Davenport graduated from Reinhardt College and was a member of their honor society. She was a member of First Baptist Church Epworth, GA. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Davenport of Epworth; father, Ira Lee Davenport of Epworth; brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Tammy Davenport of Blue Ridge; and nephew, Nathan Lee Davenport. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan and Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music was by Vernon Owenby and Dr. Tom Jordan. Interment followed in Epworth Baptist Church Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
