Delzia Crawford, age 87, of Copperhill, TN passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2007 in the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Crawford was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a daughter of the late Hicks & Mary Jane Newton Jones. She was homemaker who loved cooking, raising flowers and was an author of three books. She was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church where she taught Bible classes.
Survivors include two sons, Lew & wife Amy Crawford of Copperhill, TN, Conrad & wife Sharon Crawford of Copperhill, TN; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Crawford of Columbus, GA; special friend, Shirley Thompson of Copperhill, TN; three grandchildren, Lenora Wilson of Duluth, GA, Jason Crawford of Columbus, GA, Laura Crawford of Ducktown, TN; six great-grandchildren, Josh Crisp, Jarrod Crisp, Justin Abercrombie, Megan Abercrombie, Jordan Crawford and Madison Crawford; two great-great grandchildren, Shannon Serena Abercrombie and Jamie Breann Abercrombie.
Memorial services were conducted Saturday, August 11th at 3:00 p.m. from the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Lew Crawford officiating. Music was by Amy Crawford. Honorary pallbearers included Kenneth Godfrey, Steve Talley, Tony Abercrombie and Mike Cochran. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Crawford may be made to the Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, 119 Crawford Lane, Copperhill, TN 37317.
