Mrs. Delores Jean Knight, age 66, of Morganton, GA, passed away at her home on December 21, 2020. She was born in Columbus, GA on October 21, 1954 to the late Harold and Madeline Stephens Strout. Mrs. Knight loved to paint and enjoyed all kinds of gardening. She also loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She had operated Pelican Landscaping for a number of years and attended the Mineral Bluff House of Prayer. Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Donavie Knight and Michael and Mary Knight all of GA; siblings and their spouses, Mickey Strout of TN, Debbie and Ed David of GA, Linda and Rev. Doug Nave of GA, Mary and Ralph Marra of FL, and Michael and Betty Strout also of FL; mother-in-law, Sharon Cain of TN; grandchildren, Kody Knight of TN, Ryan Knight of GA, Austin Knight of NC, Katie Stanley, Justin Knight, Kimberly Holman, Alex Knight, Caleb Knight, Riley Knight, Nykiri Knight, Tavera Knight, and Sierra Knight all of GA; eleven great grandchildren; fourteen nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will host a Memorial service on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the Living Waters Church of God at 277 Mabry Lane Morganton, GA with Rev. Leonard Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in the Knight Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
