Dell Duaird Pickelsimer, age 83, of Copperhill, TN passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 in the Copper Basin Medical Center. Mr. Pickelsimer was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a son of the late Harvey Allen and Lois Edith Cruse Pickelsimer, Sr. He was retired from Tennessee Chemical Company where he worked as a repairman in the Pipefitters and attended Midway Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by brother, H.A. Pickelsimer. He is survived by his wife Aleece Shinpaugh Pickelsimer of the home; son Randy(Amy) Pickelsimer of Cleveland, TN; daughter, Suzanne(Jimmy) Hughes of Copperhill,TN; Two brothers, Toby Pickelsimer of Copperhill,TN, Bob Pickelsimer of Dahlonega, GA; sister Violet Harper of Dawsonville, GA; three grandchildren, Shanna Pickelsimer, Rhonda Pickelsimer and Laura Hughes. A large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, April 18, at 5:00 P.M. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Ernest German officiating. Music was by Tim Nicholson. Pallbearers included Bobby Danner, Stephen Cruse, Mike Shinpaugh, Danny Shinpaugh, Dalton Monroe and Jefferey Roberson.
