Mrs. Delia Shook Cochran, age 93, of Blue Ridge passed away Friday, May 30, 2008 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. Born in Fannin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Will and Nancy Jane Bradford Shook. Mrs. Cochran had worked for many years arranging flowers for the Rest Haven Florist in Blue Ridge. She was active in Young's Chapel Baptist Church where she sang in the Choir and was the oldest living member. Mrs. Cochran enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and sewing but truly received a blessing from helping her family, friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dirl Cochran and a son-in-law, Joe Ashe. Survivors include one daughter, Mildred Ashe; son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Sheila Cochran; grand daughters, Terresa and husband, William McClure and Jennifer Cochran; grandson, Chris and wife, Kristy Cochran; great grand children, Seth McClure, Tyler McClure and Makenzie McClure all of Blue Ridge, GA.Funeral services were conducted Sunday June 1st, at 3:00 p.m. from the Young's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Mann, Rev. Bill McGill and Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music was provided by the Caylor family. Interment followed in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Chris Cochran, Tyler McClure, Seth McClure, William McClure, Daniel Rittenberry and Danny McGill.
