Delbert Wayne "Levi" Hickey, age 72, of Farner, TN passed away on January 5, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hickey was born on October 3, 1951 in Violet, NC to the late Carl Herman Hickey and Lorena Emma Allen Hickey.

Mr. Hickey worked for many years as a logger. He loved being out in nature. He enjoyed everything about the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He operated a black bear guide service for many years in Telico Plains and never missed an opportunity to take a ride through the mountains or go camping. He had a green thumb that was evident in his vegetable and flower gardens. Most of all, he treasured his time with his family- especially his grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandchild, Baylor McKinley Dalton; and a brother, Carl Harry Hickey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mrs. Anna Mae Graham Hickey; daughter, Lorena (Nathan) Chancey; son, Jordan (Macy) Dalton; grandchildren, Brayden Isaiah Chancey, Bentley Carson Chancey, and Benson Titus Chancey; a brother, Richard (Nancy) Hickey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Akins-Cobb of Copperhill with Rev. Mark Reid officiating. Music will be provided by Janice Reid. Interment will follow the service in the Hickey Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Mike Hickey, Mark Hickey, Wayne White, Billy White, Richard White, Loren Dockery, Leon Dockery, and Cleaston Dockery. Friends may visit the family prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
