Mrs. Deborah Jean Lloyd, age 65, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA. She was born in Aviston, IL on May 18, 1949. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Christian Fellowship, loved the Lord, loved to cook for others, and was a very giving person, "selfless." She was preceded in death by her father Walter Meril Horton, and brothers, Michael Meril Horton, Walter Meril Horton, Jr., and Gordon Raye Horton. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jim Lloyd of Blue Ridge; daughters and son-in-law, Raquel Horton of Cleveland, GA and Nakunta and Kellen Simonton of Blue Ridge; mother, Billie Mae Horton of Evanston, IL; brother, Kim Horton of Evanston, IL and Todd Meril Horton of Zion, IL; sisters, Carolyn Faye Polk and Margo Rose Horton, both of Waukegan, IL, Julie Ann Burke, Cindy Lou Horton and Opal Horton of Evanston, IL; six grandchildren, Kareen Abling, Jacob Lloyd, Joseph Hamilton, Jeremiah Lloyd, Marcus Hamilton and Tianna Hamilton; one great grandchild on the way; nieces that were like her daughters Belindy Dillingham and Nichole Lloyd and their siblings. The Family of Mrs. Lloyd will conduct a memorial service Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 12:00 PM at Blue Ridge Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Lisa Moore and Dwight Holland officiating.
