Obituary

Debbie S. Galloway, age 68, of Morganton, GA passed away on July 2, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Debbie's life story is one that is to be admired. She was born in Atlanta, GA and moved to Blue Ridge at the age of 11. She was top of her class in school and valued the importance of education.

In 1970, she met the love of her life, Vaughn, and quickly started a family. With 2 very small children, she went back to school to obtain her degree in education. Through the years she worked to receive her specialist degree and taught early childhood for 38 years.

Debbie was of the Baptist faith and was an active member of Concord Baptist Church. She was known there for her singing, writing songs, and strong faith in Jesus.

She and Vaughn resided in Morganton for their 52 years of marriage. In their home, they raised 4 children and their legacy has continued with 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren with more on the way.

Her life was blessed as she spread kindness and love to all who knew her. Mrs. Debbie Galloway took the life she was born into and turned it in to the extraordinary life of being a loving wife, caring mother and Mamaw, dedicated teacher, and an inspirational leader of faith.
