Debbie Dillinger, age 70, of Morganton, GA, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at her home leaving a legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love. Mrs. Dillinger was born on December 30, 1954 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Charles Reynolds and Geneva Morris Reynolds. She worked as a Nutrition Worker for the Fannin County Board of Education. Known for her sweet smile that could light up any room, Debbie's warmth and compassion touched everyone she met. She adored her four grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent cheering them on at games, milestones, and everyday life. Debbie's unwavering presence in their lives was a testament to her deep love and
devotion, never missing a chance to celebrate their joys or comfort them in tough times.
A pillar of strength and grace, Debbie was a source of inspiration for her family and friends. She taught by quiet example the power of resilience, kindness, hope, faith, and loving unconditionally. She was a selfless, brave lady, who depended on the Lord for her strength. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, especially in the cherished stories and moments she created with her husband, girls, son-in-laws and grandchildren as well as her extended family. Debbie's enduring love and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Debbie was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Junior Dillinger; daughters and sons-in-law, Shannon and Richard York and Tara and Jeff Queen; grandchildren, Reagan York, Ava Queen, Eli Queen, and Hudson York; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Hope Reynolds and Darren and Page Reynolds; aunts and uncles that were raised with Debbie and considered as siblings, Linda (Steve) Chambers, Raymond (Becky) Morris, Bobby Morris, Loretta(late Rev. Harold) Weeks, Tommy (Wanda) Morris, the late John and Ella Mae Heaton, James Harvey "JH" Morris and the late Winford Morris.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with Dr. Chan Mitchell and Rev. Buddy Pittman officiating. Music was by the New Hope Singers and the Dillinger family. Pallbearers were Jeff Queen, Kenny Queen, Richard York, Eli Queen, Hudson York, Bruce Dillinger, Mike Williams, and Chris Queen. Interment followed in the Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery. The family visited with friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Fannin County Children's Fund at 360 Rebel Circle Blue Ridge, GA 30513, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org, or the Gideon's International at gideons.org.
