Dawna Deanette McHan Standridge, age 83, of Cleveland, Tennessee, formerly of Ducktown, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 in Cleveland, Tennessee. She was born on February 9, 1941 in Cherokee County, North Carolina to the late James LaFayette McHan and Irene Denton McHan. Dawna was a devout member of Mine City Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a life insurance agent for American General Life, and later on as a curator for the Ducktown Basin Museum, where her love for the history of her community shined.

Mrs. Standridge is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Claude Jackson "Jack" Standridge; her daughter, Sonya Standridge; brother, James L. "Jimmy" McHan, Jr.; sister, Linda McHan Ray; and sister-in-law, Shelby Standridge Sisson.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Stonewall J. "Stoney" Standridge and his wife, Lisa of Cleveland, TN, Amy Standridge Cole and her husband, Robbie of Blue Ridge, GA, William "Billy" Standridge, Jr. and his wife, Tammy of Blue Ridge, GA, and Sharon S. Bailey and her husband, David of Phoenix City, AL; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Crystal Standridge along with their daughter, Amelia, Kendall and Shelbi Standridge along with their daughter, Vayda, Benson Galloway, and Wyatt Standridge; sister, Jacqueline Cash; brother-in-law, William "Bill" Standridge; a host of other nieces, nephews, and many other family members.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Joey Buchanan and Rev. Brad Ledford officiating. Special music was provided by Mrs. Sherry Hicks. Interment  followed in the Crestlawn Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Tyler Standridge, Benson Galloway, Wyatt Standridge, Anthony Cheatham, Adam Standridge, Clay Standridge, David Collins, and Jason Morrow. Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Dan Taylor, Jeff Cash, Joe Cash, Mark McHan, and Ken McHan. Visitation was held on Tuesday evening, November 12, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m at the Akins-Cobb of Copperhill.
