David Lee Pfund, age 70, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 12, 1947 in Wauseon, Ohio to the late Edwin Fredrick Pfund, Sr. and Irene Ankney Pfund. He had worked for the City of Vero Beach, FL as an Electrical Engineer and was also a member of McCay Lodge #423 F&AM. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, David Christopher Pfund.He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda D. Pfund of the home; a son and daughter in law, Ken and Charlene Pfund of Mineral Bluff, GA; a brother and sister in law, Edwin Fredrick Pfund, Jr. and Gloria; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 6:00 pm from the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge. Friends visited the family on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 6:00 pm.
