David Frank Glass, age 76, of McCaysville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in Dalton, Georgia. He was born on January 15, 1948 in Stewart, Florida to the late Frank and Eleonore Willets Glass. Mr. Glass honorably served his country in the United States Army. David was also a member of the 10th Special Forces Group, serving as a Green Beret. He worked as a plasterer and a handyman in the construction industry for many years.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-son, Joel Scott Bailey; and sisters, Helen Eckhardt and Marilyn Brojek.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Mariann Glass of the home; a son, daughter, and grandchildren in FL; brother, Robert (Ruby) Glass of Hixon, TN; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Charles Footit of CT; nephews, Scott (Eve) Footit and daughter, Hannah of CT, David Footit and children of CT, and Ronald (Michelle) Footit of FL; numerous other nieces and nephews; favorite cousins, Sheryl and Sal Yevoli and family, Dorothea and Donnie Layman, and Carol Glass; dear friend, Rosie (Johnnie) Morse; special family friend, April Morgan, and beloved pet, Miss Minnie.

Graveside services were conducted on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. Military honors were rendered by the United States Army.
