Mr. David Scott Dickson, age 55, of Murphy, NC passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Mr. Dickson was born in Michigan and was a self employed Carpenter and Musician. He was preceded in death by his father, James Dickson. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Dickson of Murphy, NC; son, James Dickson and Fiance Chloe Russell of Brookhaven, GA; daughter, Kelcy Dickson and Fiance Ben Patterson of Kennesaw, GA; Mother, Thelma Dickson Mullins of Argos. IN; Step father, Ron Mullins of Argo, IN; Step daughters, Kristin Dobbins and Afton Dobbins both of Knoxville, TN; brother, Jeff (Anna) Dickson of Loganville, GA; sister Mara (Russell) Cooke of Marietta, GA; three grandchildren, Lily Beth Patterson, Skyler McCranie and Alayna Cuthbert. Memorial services will be conducted Friday, April 25th at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the service hour. Also, Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, April 26th from the Open Road Tavern in Turtletown, TN from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. featuring his Band Friends.
