Darlene Z. Patterson, age 87 of Dalton, GA passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022 at home. She was born on May 4, 1935 in Copperhill, TN to the late Clint Huffman and Clercie Payne Huffman. Darlene worked at Shaw Industries. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Darlene was of the Baptist Faith. She loved life, gardening, growing flowers, being outside and involved in the outdoors. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Hence Patterson and grandson, Anthony Davis.

Survivors are daughters, Deborah Parsons (Wayne) of Lafayette, GA, Gardenia Caldwell (Audie) of Dalton, GA and Charlene Woods of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Jason Parson (Cassie), Jill McDaris (Matt), Christy Bartley (Mark) and Timmy Davis; great-grandchildren, Caitie Floyd (Tanner), Jace Parsons, Bryce McDaris, Abby McDaris, Holly Bartley and Drake Davis and great-great-grandchildren, Braelyn Davis and Iris Floyd.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge, GA Chapel with Rev. Clifton Patterson officiating. Music will be by Cassie Parsons. Interment will follow in the Mount Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Drake Davis, Timmy Davis, Jacob Elrod, Steve Caldwell, Mark Bartley and Jace Parsons. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at wwwakinscobb.com. Akins-Cobb Funerals and Cremations of Blue Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
