Darlene Davis Day, age 68, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 in Atlanta, GA. She was born in McCaysville, GA, to the late Clarence Herbert and Reba Palmer Davis. Darlene had worked for a number of years for the Forsyth County DFACS and later for the City Gate Freedom Place Community Resource Center. She attended the House of the Living God Church in Mineral Bluff, GA. She enjoyed coloring, reading and tending to her rose bushes. Survivors include her daughter, Misty Day of Mineral Bluff; special friends, Charlotte Chastain, Pastor Shelly Bishop, Sue Gordon, James Wolf, Deborah Bignardi and Jeff Barnes; and her canine companion "Bubba" aka Axel. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Chapel in Copperhill with Pastor Shelly Bishop and Rev. Brett Curtis officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem #2 Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour.
