Daniel "Levi" Hicks, age 66, of Copperhill, TN passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his home. Levi was born on March 9, 1957 in Copperhill to the late Jake and Helen Bell Hicks. He worked as a autobody mechanic at Marietta Toyota. Levi was a member of the McKay Lodge #423 F&AM. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Copperhill. Levi enjoyed hunting and restoring old cars.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Beatrice Hicks of the home; siblings, Rachel (Tommy) Davis of Epworth, GA, Grady Hicks of Benton, TN, Lloyd Hicks of Blue Ridge, GA; best friend, James (Amy) Hyatt of Mineral Bluff, GA; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jonas and Teresa Smelcer, Norman and Sandra Smelcer, Howard and Priscilla Fortenberry, Bobby and Cheryl Smelcer, and Jerry and Darlene Smelcer.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Hughes and Rev. Al Patterson officiating. Music will be provided by the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Choir. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers, Cody Hicks, Kenton Hicks, Chuck Greer, James Hyatt, Jack Hyatt, and Steve "Poe" Byers. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Marietta Toyota. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM till 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made in memory of Levi to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at P.O. Box 844 Copperhill, TN 37317.
